Gave my favorite Paneer Chili a BBQ-style twist – air fried for that perfect chewiness without deep frying. Quick, healthy & party-perfect!

Instructions

  1. Crumble or cube the paneer and season it thoroughly with salt and garlic powder.
  2. Air fry the seasoned paneer at 180°C (350°F) for 7 minutes until it achieves a chewy texture.
  3. In a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and sauté the red onion squares, diced green pepper, and green chili (if using) until slightly softened.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together tomato ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, corn starch, and 5 tbsp water to create the BBQ-style sauce mix.
  5. Add the prepared BBQ-style sauce mix to the sautéed vegetables in the pan.
  6. Add the air-fried paneer to the pan, toss well to coat it evenly with the sauce, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish generously with chopped spring onions and serve hot.

💡 Chef’s Notes

This recipe uses an air fryer to achieve a chewy texture for the paneer without the need for deep frying, making it a healthier option.
