This fermented Honey Lemon Ginger Syrup is a gentle, natural remedy for cough, sore throat, and immunity support. It’s sweet, tangy, and filled with natural enzymes that help fight infections and calm a scratchy throat. A simple homemade remedy, just like our grandmothers used to make.
Instructions
- Wash lemons in warm salted water, rinse, wipe dry, and slice thin.
- Peel, wash, and dry ginger; slice thinly.
- In a sterilized 500 ml glass jar, layer lemon slices, ginger, and honey alternately.
- Fill up to 1 inch below the rim, cover loosely, and let ferment 24–48 hours.
- When tiny bubbles appear, it’s ready!
- Store the fermented syrup in the fridge for up to 2 months.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of syrup (or a few lemon–ginger pieces) in lukewarm water or tea for soothing relief.
