You only need two plantains and the secret technique: The Smash! This is the crucial tip to get that perfect crunch every time.

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the skin from two plantains.
  2. Cut the plantains about an inch thick.
  3. Mix the slices with 2 tbsp of olive oil and a sprinkle of coarse sea salt.
  4. Air-fry at 180Β°C for 7–8 minutes on a parchment-lined basket.
  5. Immediately take them out and, while hot, place each slice on a small parchment paper square. Use a glass bottom to smash them flat.
  6. Brush with any remaining olive oil and air-fry again for 5–6 minutes until golden and perfectly crispy.
  7. Combine all dip ingredients.
