This healthy methi-tofu stuffed bun is a perfect combination of earthy fenugreek leaves and soft, protein-rich tofu wrapped in whole wheat dough. Lightly spiced with cumin, coriander, and green chili, itβs a nutritious and satisfying recipe you can enjoy for lunch, dinner, or even as a snack. Pair it with your favorite chutney or dip for a wholesome meal.
Instructions
- Prepare a smooth dough with whole wheat flour and water.
- Heat olive oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and chopped green chili.
- Roll out a portion of the rested dough into a flat circle.
- Cook the stuffed bun on a hot pan with a little olive oil until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve hot with your favorite chutney or dip.
- Rest the dough while you prepare the filling.
- Add cleaned and chopped methi leaves, salt, and cumin-coriander powder. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Place a portion of the prepared filling onto one half of the rolled dough.
- Add crumbled tofu to the pan and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a semi-circle or desired shape.
- Press the edges with a fork to seal them securely.
