Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the bite-size pattypan squash pieces with ¼ tsp salt, a pinch of turmeric, 1 tsp cumin-coriander powder, chili flakes to taste, and ½ tsp garlic powder.
  2. Blanch the broccoli florets from one crown for 1 minute.
  3. Blanch the broccoli florets from the second crown for 1 minute.
  4. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to a pan. Transfer the seasoned pattypan squash to the pan, cover, and cook for 10–12 minutes on low-medium heat. Stir occasionally during cooking.
  5. In a pan, toss the blanched broccoli with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt and pepper to taste, 1 tsp sesame seeds, and a pinch of chili flakes for a quick stir-fry.
  6. In a bowl, combine the blanched broccoli with 1 tbsp roasted sesame & flaxseed powder, 1 tsp olive oil, salt and pepper to taste, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Mix everything together.
