Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
- Once they crackle, add chopped onion and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add turmeric, salt, cumin-coriander powder, and tomato paste. Mix well.
- Stir in boiled/canned chickpeas and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add rinsed rice, mix, and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add water, butter, cover, and cook on medium-low heat for 10–12 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the yogurt dip by mixing yogurt, black salt, green chili, and chopped onion.
- Serve chickpea rice hot with yogurt dip.
