This healthy methi-tofu stuffed bun is a perfect combination of earthy fenugreek leaves and soft, protein-rich tofu wrapped in whole wheat dough. Lightly spiced with cumin, coriander, and green chili, it’s a nutritious and satisfying recipe you can enjoy for lunch, dinner, or even as a snack. Pair it with your favorite chutney or dip for a wholesome meal.

Instructions

  1. Prepare a smooth dough with whole wheat flour and water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and chopped green chili.
  3. Roll out a portion of the rested dough into a flat circle.
  4. Cook the stuffed bun on a hot pan with a little olive oil until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or dip.
  6. Rest the dough while you prepare the filling.
  7. Add cleaned and chopped methi leaves, salt, and cumin-coriander powder. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Place a portion of the prepared filling onto one half of the rolled dough.
  9. Add crumbled tofu to the pan and cook for 2 more minutes.
  10. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a semi-circle or desired shape.
  11. Press the edges with a fork to seal them securely.
