Instructions
- Ensure your chickpeas have been soaked for 4-5 hours. Drain them thoroughly after soaking.
- Lightly boil the soaked and drained chickpeas for 2-3 minutes. Drain them again completely.
- Individually smash each boiled chickpea. This helps create a crispy texture when airfried.
- If desired, season the smashed chickpeas with salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, or your favorite spice blend. Toss to coat evenly.
- Preheat your airfryer to 180Β°C (350Β°F). Place the seasoned (or plain) smashed chickpeas in the airfryer basket in a single layer.
- Airfry for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chickpeas are golden brown and crunchy.
- Serve the crispy chickpeas immediately as a standalone snack or use them as a crunchy topping for salads.
