Ultra Crispy Air-Fryer Plantain Chips

This air-fryer hack creates ultra-crispy plantain chips that are NOT fried and taste better than store-bought banana chips! This 15-minute recipe is a healthy, high-fiber, guilt-free snack. You only need two plantains and the secret technique: The Smash! This is the crucial tip to get that perfect crunch every time.
Instructions
- Wash and peel the skin from two plantains.
- Cut the plantains about an inch thick.
- Mix the slices with 2 tbsp of olive oil and a sprinkle of coarse sea salt.
- Air-fry at 180Β°C for 7β8 minutes on a parchment-lined basket.
- Immediately take them out and, while hot, place each slice on a small parchment paper square. Use a glass bottom to smash them flat.
- Brush with any remaining olive oil and air-fry again for 5β6 minutes until golden and perfectly crispy.
- Combine all dip ingredients.
