These Winter Immunity Bars are no-bake, naturally sweetened and full of healthy energy for cold weather. Made with dates, nuts, seeds, oats and a touch of maple syrup, they are a great snack for busy days, kids, lunchboxes or a quick breakfast. Fresh, wholesome and so easy to make.

Instructions

  1. Soak the dates in hot water for about 10 minutes, then blend into a smooth paste.
  2. Heat a pan and dry-roast the almonds and cashews for a minute.
  3. Add pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, oats, flax seeds, chia seeds, and both sesame seeds to the pan. Roast until they lightly pop and turn aromatic.
  4. Add the butter (optional) for extra crunch and aroma.
  5. Pour in the date paste and mix well so everything comes together.
  6. Add the raisins and switch off the heat.
  7. Add the maple syrup and combine thoroughly.
  8. Spread the mixture on a tray, press it down firmly, and freeze for about 1.5 – 2 hours.
