In today’s video, I’m sharing a delicious and ultra creamy macaroni pasta recipe that’s rich in flavor, made with a silky white sauce, tangy tomato base, and sautéed veggies. Perfect for a cozy lunch or dinner! This recipe is super creamy, loaded with bell peppers, garlic, and onions, made with a fresh tomato sauce + homemade white sauce, and is easy, quick, and comforting.

Instructions

  1. In another pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic. Add freshly ground tomatoes, turmeric, salt, and Italian seasoning. Cook until oil separates.
  2. Lightly sauté chopped onions and bell peppers, then add them to the tomato sauce.
  3. Pour in the white sauce. Adjust consistency using reserved pasta water if needed. Add boiled pasta to the tomato-veggie mix. Mix gently until creamy.
  4. Top with cheese, stir until it melts, and serve hot!
  5. Cook macaroni in salted boiling water with a little oil until just undercooked. Save some pasta water and set aside.
  6. In a pan, heat 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil. Add 2 tbsp flour and roast until bubbly and aromatic.
  7. Gradually whisk in 2 cups milk to avoid lumps. Stir until thick. Season with chili flakes and Italian seasoning.
